Meet Theadora

Theadora Brack, Travel Writer

Ever since spending her teen summers hawking balloons beneath the replica Eiffel Tower at Kings Dominion amusement park in Virginia, Theadora Brack has been obsessed with France. Happily, she later found a great way to feed that obsession as a travel writer and photographer in sight of the real Eiffel.

Combining Parisian bargain shopping advice with tantalizing historical tidbits and amazing architecture, Theadora takes her readers on a spree where they’ll get to experience “another Paris”—one that’s full of enchanting street fashions and little-known shops and eateries. With relish, she shines her bright spotlight on the city’s gossip and intimate details, while maintaining a quirky sense of fun.

Theadora also writes for the travel website Bonjour Paris.com (France Media Ltd.) and budget travel website Eurocheapo.com (Over There Interactive, Inc., New York), while her “My Life in Paris” column is a regular feature in the international magazine France Today. In February 2014, “Theadora’s Five Favorite Haunts in Paris” appeared as a chapter in the second print edition of Steve Solosky’s The Traveling Professor’s Guide to Paris.

I loved the line you snipped from Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” film: “If it’s bad, I’ll hate it because I hate bad writing,” Hemingway explains. “If it’s good, I’ll be envious and hate it all the more. You don’t want the opinion of another writer.”

      Moveable Feast for Thought, indeed.

  37. Does anyone else who travels a great deal, not returning ‘home’ for years at a time, ever start thinking their lives are boring? Do you catch yourself looking out the window thinking “Oh woe is me”? …when you’re actually in Bangkok…or Dallas… London, Singapore, Denpassar….or Paris?” Whatever the location I find myself in I keep having to pinch myself that this fantasy life is real. I have ‘boring days’ sometimes in Bangkok where I’m living, and then I think…OMG…what is the alternative…..a office routine and a house in some suburb? The horror …the horror. Recently I have been writing a series of articles revealing the exploitation of Asian women by aging Western perverts….proud to say I’m receiving lots of hate mail….from the perverts.
