Paris: Favorite Post-Shopping Café
By Theadora Brack
Guys and dolls, I have a new favorite post-shopping hotspot in Paris. So hold the dresses! And grab a pencil.
The scoop
Located in between Gare Saint-Lazare and Printemps Homme, I stumbled upon the historic Triadou during a recent shopping spree with my sister.
Open since 1935, the family-run Triadou wildly surpassed our expectations. Blame the stormy skies, friendly table service, and the catbird seats near the train station, but the experience was a knockout win-grin.
So what to order?
I’m now hooked on the café’s Baguette Jambon Beurre Emmental (ham, butter and Emmental cheese). The substantial sandwich cost just €5, and we sliced it down the middle.
I also recommend ordering a piping-hot café latte. Topped with a thick layer of foamy cream, it’s served with a chunk of divine dark chocolate.
Here’s another tip! If the weather is on your side, dine outdoors. The Triadou’s terrace with its neon lights, iconic cane chairs, and outdoors heaters is a prime people-watching spot. Talk about a moveable feast!
Bon Appétit!

80 Boulevard Haussmann, 8th arrondissement

I’m getting hungry just at looking at these pictures. That crusty bread with that Emmental cheese and ham is just so good!

Thanks, Malou! Here are a few of my other favorites: Baguette Cantal Beurre, Baguette Jambon Beurre Gruyère, Baguette Thon Crudités Oeufs, Baguette Poulet Crudités, and Baguette Camembert. Too many sandwiches and not enough time!

Ha… I’m the one that should be envy with green.
You live in the Capital of Fashion.
You speak the Language of Love.
You eat one of the world’s finest cuisines.
I didn’t have time to travel to Lausanne.
I would like to visit it when I go to Montreux in the future. 🙂

Merci, Lady T! (And the table service was super fast and attentive. This joint is now my weekly haunt, along with Galeries Lafayette, Printemps and Zara.)
